i'm a java programmer, not a C++ programmer, so I did the i2p-zero java stuff only. others with a C++ background were working on the GUI integration, and I don't know what the status there is

snowden is quite close to some zcash people, his old judgement that monero is amateur crypto is literally to be taken as "not developed by a company"

opposing amateur vs. professional. It's dumb because by this standard would you call academic research "amateur"?

And also it interprets the grassroot aspect of Monero has a drawback while it is very much a strength

The fact that ECC is a company has been a big part of the ongoing Zcash funding kerfuffle

And that has occupied a lot of time and attention for them for quite some time

It kinda cuts both ways, the company method is a highly evolved shark, it's demonstrated to be efficient. On the other hand, I've thought that Monero attracted "unhireables" meaning people who's conscience isn't for hire, who only want hard problems that may or may not be profitable economically.

I've envied the ECC budget,...but not for very long. Dumb budgets lead to dumb thinking.
