<xmrhaelan> It appears talking to Locha Mesh is already leading to more publicity eyes on Monero:

<xmrhaelan> What needs to happen to move the proposal along now that Randy has addressed most of the concerns that were brought up?

I think it's nearing last call for coments at this point

Maybe another round of Reddit?

Interesting, but the i.MX8M is the same chip if I remember that powers the Librem5

Laptop would just be a bigger form factor

Personally I'm excited for RISCV chips, but those probably won't hit high volume production for another 3-5 years
-

Anything though that furthers the demand for OSH or at least chips with open firmware is a win though in my books. :)

Which is why I'm sad about rumors of the Intel open source VP retiring and major shakeup via layoffs on that side of the company, but hopefully Intel doesn't devest in the OSS space :S

<xmrscott[m] "Interesting, but the i.MX8M is t"> Yeah, and this chipset is itself 3 (?) years old already. I remember media players being shipped with them years ago

xmrscott[m]: yes, it is the same chip...

the breakdown of its specifications was just fun to read... i think keeping it simple with thinkpads is the way. you can do libre or coreboot plus intel me disabler or whatever and run the GNU/Linux distribution of your choice. cheap, classy, functional. very robust.

Did we ever hear about a blind person using the CLI or GUI? Do we know if it is at all possible for them using conventional text-to-speach software assistance?

any youtube link can be seen on invidio by simply replacing the youtube part with invidio.us. e.g.
youtube.com/watch?v=pXksLYW4380 → invidio.us/watch?v=pXksLYW4380. still good you sent it with an onion link.

<xmr-romine> Regarding Monero/material, is there something with a better ROI than raspberry pi ? (from a monerod/Pi3B very satisfied user)

monero research lab and konferenco meetings today
-
xmrmatterbridge
<xmr-romine> @asymptotically sorry for not being precise enough. No, it was not about mining. It's just that since there was a small discussion about hardware, I wanted to know if somebody knows, for running a full node, a hardware cheaper at buy, smaller and cheaper at work than a raspberry pi ? (I guess the answer is a great NO).
