Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is there a way to estimate the number of transactions on the monero blockchain?
-
magnisiusdingus
From what I understand, it's probably not possible to calculate an absolute number, but I'd be fine with the directional movement of transactions over time (slope)
-
ndorf
it's absolutely possible to count all the transactions
-
ndorf
every transaction is visible, you just can't see the amounts, senders or recipients
-
ndorf
here you can see that the latest block has 62 transactions:
xmrchain.com/block/2271183
-
ndorf
just look at every block and add them up :)
-
magnisiusdingus
ahhh verygood
-

Thank you, this is exactly what I was looking for

i think the total number of transactions in the chain is 13265248

That's for all time?
-
ndorf
well, since monero's inception, which was in 2014
-

something like that. you'll have to do the work yourself if you really need an exact number :)

-

-
magnisiusdingus
I was planning on creating a graph of transactions over time. Does like that already exist?
-
ndorf
i believe so
-
fibonacci
I only have mayo naise Monero
