hi, I sent a transaction that shows up in the gui as "Pending" and "Waiting for transaction to leave txpool", and 0/10 confirmations, but my balance in this wallet doesn't reflect this transaction at all. I ran flush_txpool in the daemon, is this transaction going to go thru? If it doesn't that's fine.

You will still have to trust someone. You can e.g. use node.xmr.to:18081 which is run by a core team member.

That's one of the big misunderstandings of open source. Open source means "if I want to change the software, I can".

If the software prints an error message, log the value of stuff that causes it to print it. Then deduce what went wrong, or where is the previous place to repeat.

It's been used for peripheral stuff, but the more peripheral stuff goes through, the more we'll get vultures and scammers try it, so there needs to be some kind of line.
