it's not a mystery

I have had 0 issues to date with censorship or mods in Monero community channels

So I have no idea what the issue is

Unless its just someone trying to weasel their way back into the community while actively attacking Monero and attempting to defame it and release user details.

Which seems like a perfect use for moderation to kick that asshole out for good where possible.

Kicking out attackers and people who have shown for years that they are malicious towards everything Monero is a perfect use case for moderation in channels like this.

first, there were two Monero Telegram channels with similar use

the mod for one acted up, so everyone else left and abandoned the chat

the new group promised moderation by people that have been around forever and have a lot of experience

then as far as I can tell, another group was made out of protest for moderation?

and then this new group was attacked by spammers that the original moderators were there to protect against

and so now this new group is adding some more moderation?

and you are requesting money to moderate this new group?

why do all this instead of just closing the chat? there are already sensibly moderated discussions which are moderated for free

it just seems ironic to me that someone who (if I have the details right) left the main groups in protest of there being moderation

is now asking for money to moderate this new group?
