I have been trying to use the python script to produce a reproducible build using the instructions but for some reason the python script fails.

And I have a fresh Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic Beaver running in a VM (desktop version)

i think you may need more RAM per thread

I dedicated only 4GB ram to the entire VM

Might need to up that or?

well, if you've got time, try with -j 1

Should I run the entire build thing again? With -j 1 it failed again in a few seconds with rebuild

I gave it 10 gigs of RAM just incase and trying to let it run again

The errors in the beginning suggest there may be more going on. I've haven't done raw LXC, just docker. Not sure if I can be more help

I tried docker yesterday too but had it fail too

LXC seems more complicated though, might have a fresh go with docker aswell

LXC seems like something that requires a bit more understanding to figure out if something is wrong

With the recently added seednodes, it's also fairly straight forward

There are good reasons to believe its organic

Such as Monero becoming the de-facto DNM currency

And massive increases in support tickets across the board for Monero

I also have evidence suggesting it's not just spam

There's no way to know for sure, but all adoption metrics I can find are indicating an increase

If you guys had seen the difference in volume of support posts on /r/monero and /r/monerosupport before and after the DNM bust, you would be shocked :p
