Howdy, need some info on sha 256 for Monero GUI Wallet

Downloaded the Monero GUI Wallet binary and ran sha256sum on it and it always produces:

Ah, if syncing then let it sync. Syncing holds the blockchain mutex for long periods of time, and the wallet sync needs it.
-

Then send your tx once it's synced.
-

If it does it again, then... run top to see what, if anything, is taking up gobs of CPU time.

pixelized[m]: What does "labs" mean in this case?

pixelized[m]
labs is a set of experimental features

pixelized[m]
which you can enable or disable
-
pixelized[m]
kind of like 'beta' stuff i suppose
-
apotheon
I see.
-
pixelized[m]
it's a bit of a hassle to enable them on element, but you can do it through the config file
-
pixelized[m]
the most epic and newest labs feature is 'spaces', which you can access on element also by default and it basically means that you can now nest rooms in other rooms
-
pixelized[m]
basically replicating a merge between communities and the discord server paradigm in a nestable way
-
pixelized[m]
but you also get things like LaTeX maths rendering in messages, user statuses, message pinning etc.

I suppose it isn't normal that a subaddress completely disappears from a cli wallet..?

-
tobtoht
if you close it in any other way subaddresses can go missing

you can get them back by generating them again

it's deterministic, so just do 'address new' a few times and it'll show up again
