Hey, I am a bit of a noob and have just converted BTC to XMR on elude. The input has had 9 confirmations and the output information has appeared yet nothing has appeared in my wallet.

Is there an amount of time this takes? I'm just slightly worried lol

I have never heard of Elude but it seems like they have the private key so it isn’t a real wallet.

i have some big issue with the wallet sync, i changed to a new pc and now i cant start the wallet with the daemon, had to start the monerod.exe manually from dos

i start seeing this now:

I did a ==> print_block 1505540

Next i check the same block on explorer moneroblocks.info/search/1505540

And compare the hash .....

Am i doing it right ?

The GUI can’t start monerod?

well once i started the wallet on my second pc it would not start the daemon

i changed port to default (was using another port) but it refused to start

Also it started to sync like the output you saw above....plus now i saw that message

been behaving very strange to be honest

i'm actually starting to import from raw file now just to be sure

just cant figure out why the daemon wont start normally with the wallet

and another funky problem was that i wanted to change the location of wallet. When i did that then the sync started the painfull slow syncing from start again (takes many hours)....dont get why it just dont start right away, wallet location change should not affect anything....so a few issues

Changing the wallet location does not cause resyncing. Are you sure that you didn’t change the blockchain location?

for sure i did not change blockchain location, i see in regedit the location to verify too

i basically closed the wallet

used restore from hw wallet and it started the paiful sync in progress

maybe 7-8h later i was at 96%

sadly i started the raw import just to be sure already

but one big issue is wallet dont start teh daemon, it times out after 2min

worked fine the first time i tried it with another port but now it just wont

will see once import is finished how it goes

No, I didn't even noticed you gave a number smaller than 2 millions. I mean to say the first 4th of all blocks is nowhere near 1/4th of total sync effort because the remaining 3 4th of blocks are much bigger

vampyren: Can you make sure that no anti virus is blocking the daemon from getting started?

There have been a few users who reported your issue but we haven’t been able to reproduce it.

i used the zip file (like that more)

i added teh whole monero folder in exclude for AV (Eset32)

even disable it several times to be sure

i used --data-dir when i started monerod

i dont set the bootstrap setting as in this issue

default folder for blockchain on win-->C:\ProgramData\bitmonero\ on Windows

i did check and moenrod did not add anything there so thats how i knew it was using the right folder

I think i did this just before i started the import -->Drop --data-dir argument from Daemon startup flags. Use Blockchain location field ins

I disable my AV, even added a rule in windows FW (which is not active while i use AV to allow the 18080), tried even to check if ports are open in router using canyouseeme.org
