Hi guys. Is there any place on IRC to discuss about new technology idea on Monero, like building things for Monero? I've been surfing through all channels but haven't found a suitable place to drop my idea

Well, if it's no problem to go public with your idea, seems to me you can hardly go wrong with trying just here. Worst case you won't get attention or feedback and then can go on to try other places like a GitHub issue or a Reddit post on /r/Monero

#monero-dev would seem like the place for that on IRC, or just here like rbrunner stated

or monero-dev is more specifically about the protocol and official wallet/daemon etc, if you want to build around monero this might be a better place yep

We have built successfully the trustless bridge to Ethereum, now are thinking of building it to Monero. I just want to pitch this idea to the community here to get

riceandbeans, one of the two miners blocks would ultimately be accepted by the network and built on top of

it would have to do with latency and propagation

if half the miners started building on one block and half the miners started building on the other block, one of those two halves will win and then the rest of the miners would join them

also there is mining after 2022, it's just that the block reward stops decreasing and stays fixed

in bitcoin after 2140 there is only tx fees

a lot of factors / how tinfoilhat you are but in a nutshell just exchange it to xmr without giving out any personal information

notdave: you could trade a small amount each day to exchanges that don't require verification, like tradeogre or binance

you need to run the daemon that downloads all of the blocks and talks to all the other monero people, or you can use somebody else's node (with reduced privacy)

i think moneroworld.com has a guide on using a remote node

I am positively surprised. The "Mastering Monero" book is not so bad. I like chapter 5 "A deep dive into Monero & cryptography". A high information density for that price.

It needs a second edition - though - to add RandomX.

I like the serif type, although it shows its strength on paper. Serifs lead the eye while reading.
