Mochi101moneromooo, when running a pruned node do you still need to download the whole blockchain and then throw 2/3rds of it away sort of thing?
-
Mochi101Just asking because the new web site says, "Blockchain pruning. Not enough disk space? Just use pruning to download only 1/3 of the blockchain"

mapuchehello

Mochi101hello mapuche
-
Mochi101How are you this moment?
-
rottensoxhallo.
-
mapuchevery nice thank u
-
moneromoooMochi101: you do download it all unless you use --sync-from-pruned-blocks.
-
moneromoooHowever, it prunes as it goes, so you don't need 80 GB if you sync normally to a pruned daemon.
-
moneromooo--sync-from-pruned-blocks lets you download only pruned data, same effect on disk.
-
Mochi101I see, thanks moneromooo
