telnet is just a tcp connection and you can talk whatever protocol you want through it

i'd probably check it with the telnet, and if that doesnt connect i'd check with nmap

and if that fails it probably has a firewall of some sort up

it opens a cmd and closes it immediately

on getmonero.org the link to the freebsd v0.15 still points to v0.14 but if you change the download link manually to v0.15 it will actually donwload the correct file and the hash on the website also matches the v0.15 version
