asymptotically it seems your rebase trick has worked

:). git ux is pretty horrid as soon as you want to do something outside of commit && push, but once you know what you're doing it tends to just work

one day I need to read the Git book for real... The library has it, maybe I hire it at noon

asymptotically Pro Git is with me, but I don't promise I'm not going to ask you a thing or two for another while...

this is for simple mode

daemon uses 12 now

for simple mode we increased it to 16
