having network issues here, and now my node is giving up on all connections after ~30 seconds

can this timeout value be increased?

gonna try raising NON_RESPONSIVE_PEER_KICK_TIME

that did the trick. now makin progress on syncing again

I guess I could have tried using a smaller block-sync-size instead

so that a complete batch could be sent over the slow connection before timeout tripped

would be nice if we had a smarter way of controlling this. otherwise the short timeout and normal sized batch that never completes just wastes ahtever tiny bandwidth is available.

e.g. if someone has some weird crash you can give them gdb instructions to get a backtrace

what if the debug symbols were extracted into a separate file and could be downloaded separately? elf can do that

also mac automatically generates a backtrace if there is a crash that the user can share later

now if monero were super stable it might make sense to strip everything :D
