what is ldns depedency used for exactly?
-
moneromooo
I think that's used by unbound.
-
moneromooo
git grep there will show for sure.

luigi1111w: could you merge #6531 #6535 #6582 ? thanks
-
selsta
and also
monero-project/supercop #3 if you are ok with it (afaik you looked at it)
-
selsta
and also that 1 gui PR :)
-
luigi1111w
ok
-
gingeropolous
hrm, daemon doesn't wanna exit
-
gingeropolous
recent 16 compile.
-
selsta
what do you mean does not want to exit?
-
gingeropolous
i typed exit, hit enter, it sat there and laughed at me in silence
-
gingeropolous
so i did it again, still nothing. eventually kill 9'd it
-
hyc
should have gotten a gdb trace of it
-
gingeropolous
yeah

I was toying around a bit with different options to hack around the glibcs min version bump, but have not found a satisfying solution.
-
TheCharlatan
I'm still not sure where the symbol, "signgam", actually is being introduced. As far as I can tell we are not using any of the gamma functions that would require it being set.
-
moneromooo
gamma as in obscure libm stuff ?
-
TheCharlatan
yeah
-
moneromooo
I suppose nm -a on object files will show you what's requiring it.
-
moneromooo
Shows as... D IIRC ?
-
moneromooo
No, should be U.
-
moneromooo
I have hits in tx_pool and levin_notify.
-
moneromooo
Can't see why atm though.
-
moneromooo
objdump shows it used suspiciously close to poisson_distribution
-
moneromooo
In both.
-
moneromooo
I kinda remember something about this, like gamma is the CDF of hte poisson distribution of something along those lines, so it makes sense at first glance.
-
moneromooo
The man page says something which might help:
-
moneromooo
signgam:
-
moneromooo
_XOPEN_SOURCE
-
moneromooo
|| /* Since glibc 2.19: */ _DEFAULT_SOURCE
-
moneromooo
|| /* Glibc versions <= 2.19: */ _BSD_SOURCE || _SVID_SOURCE
-
moneromooo
Not sure how much earlier than 2.19 though.
-
TheCharlatan
thanks, I was not aware of that connection.
-
TheCharlatan
that said, does someone in here know if something similar to __wrap_ semantics can be used for variables as opposed to functions? The ld manpage only mentions functions (although it states that it is possible to wrap any generic symbol), so I don't think it's possible.
