is there a method in rpc to verify/validate an unknown address?

I think I found a possible bug in validate_address, it can't verify other network addresses

on stagenet I can't verify mainnet addresses though the response contains 'nettype' which implies it can detect network type

woodser yes that looks like some sort of redundant compilation or inclusion/linking of the lib somehow. i have to look at the log again, but it disappeared. error didnt happen for me
