Interesting idea for consideration in the Monero community

As you may know, MAGIC can pay grants for anything that is within its mission (and of course has board approval)

we have the perk of being able to receive and make payments in USD, but it doesn't have to be USD

we could, for example, receive donations in XMR and make a payment for an agreed-upon amount of XMR when milestones are complete

the main issue with this from our perspective is that we don't have a platform like the CCS that keeps track of donations so people can see how far along they are

we could host our own but I'm not sure if it would get enough use

so throwing out this idea, just as an option to consider

The tax-deductibility of donations (where/when applicable) doesn't change based on XMR versus USD?

specific fundraising efforts can be marked as MAGIC efforts, and the XMR for those would go to a MAGIC wallet instead of a Core wallet
