The radio station I was at was both traditional radio + online, so not quite apples to apples I suppose

Our tower only had a legal range of like 3 miles though, so most listeners tuned in online

That law seems to apply only to terrestrial radio and television

If you were running a simultaneous traditional radio station, it would make sense that the rehost online would fall under the law due to it also being broadcast on radio

It's another platform that we can use for various community things. For the price, I think its worth trying.

Off the top of my head, various livestreams that the community does can have audio piped through it, talks (if defcon is active), whatever

Inge-: to be fair, i think the academic journal world works at its own pace from choice, rather than necessity. its part of the trade off. slow-knowledge i think it's called ;-)

you need to access www.getmonero.org and then the CNAME resolves to A records specific to the region you're in

and then if it's a cache hit you get served the content, or a cache miss redirects you to web.getmonero.org

a CNAME isn't a redirect, so trying to access that hostname directly won't work
