Hello everyone
-
lh1008[m]
I have a two questions. How are CCS proposals being worked out? Are they discussed in a specific meeting or what should proponents do to push the proposal to funding? To answer part of my question I have been sharing it.
-
kayabaNerve
lh1008[m]: Anyone can fork the repo and create a PR with a proposal following the template. Then you should get others to review it, updating your PR as you tailor it. Then, when it's accepted into the CCS (which I don't believe is tied to any event), you just need people to actually fund it.
-
lh1008[m]
Okay cool, thanks. I already received a feedback and I haven't update it. Will do and keep on sharing.
-

lh1008[m]: the CCS proposals are under Core (mostly Luigi and Diego) maintenance. The proposals historically have been discussed during the MCW meetings for feedback

sgp_: Are you moderating a community meeting tomorrow? I don't have access to Github right now but want to request a agenda entry?
-
sgp_
msvb-lab: out of the loop huh? :) rehrar will be handling the meetings from now on
-
msvb-lab
sgp_: I am halfway out. I read things about control transfer, IRC community considerations, things like that. So now without all the information I know to ask rehrar.
-
msvb-lab
rehrar (and others): Folks at the Defcon Redteam village (DC/RT) want to invite us (the general Monero community) to build a village for a online conference (usually physical in Texas) called 'Grayhat.' So I want to request a five minute duration during the meeting to find out if anybody wants to partipate in the October conference.

sgp_: thank you. Tomorrow I'll be in the MCW meeting. :)

Ah yes, there is no MCW issue in meta FWIW:

If rehrar doesn't create one in the next 3 hours, I can so your request can also be reflected via GitHub msvb
-
rehrar
did someone say rooroo?
-
rehrar
-
msvb-lab
Hello rehrar: Would you please add an agenda meeting for Grayhat?

msvb-lab
It might not reach the level of importance needed to be included in our meeting, if you think that is true then don't make a agenda entry.
-
msvb-lab
It is our last chance of getting permission to present Monero content at Grayhat (deadline on Friday in one week.)

msvb-lab: For future reference, making a comment on the weekly issue (
monero-project/meta #503 for this week) is the way to add things to the agenda
-
xmrscott[m]
needmoney90: To be fair, it didn't exist at the time of their comment :)
-
xmrscott[m]
(*IRC comment)
-
needmoney90
That is true, but it is the normal way :D
-
needmoney90
when do they usually get made?
-
needmoney90
should we have a couple stubs up with TBA in the description?
-
xmrscott[m]
In the past they got made anywhere between 24 hours to a week in advance by Mr. J
-
sgp_
yeah I was sometimes lazy

*issue MCW meeting template in Meta anywho
-
xmrscott[m]
Core should probably do the same for MRL
-
xmrscott[m]
meetings
-
sarang
?
-
sarang
I post agenda issues for MRL weekly in `meta`
-
sarang
What needs to change with that?
-
xmrscott[m]
I'm just saying it could be easier on you if there were templates that had the boiler plate stuff, so the only thing you'd really need to do is set the "When"
-
xmrscott[m]
So when you go to create an issue, you just select 'MRL Meeting template' and it's 90% filled out. Rather than having to search a closed issue and copy/paste
-
xmrscott[m]
It would also make things more scriptable in terms of scrapping meetings by somewhat guaranteeing a standardized syntax everytime
-
xmrscott[m]
Should there ever be a meeting IRC bot or what have you
-
sarang
meh
-
sarang
I mean, we do always use the same template
-
sarang
but it takes like 30 seconds to copypaste
-
sarang
If someone wants to make a template, sweet
-
sarang
If not, no big
-
selsta
-
selsta
you can select a template and also link to other support resources
-
needmoney90
If we script it then rehrar will be out of a job
-
sgp_
I haven't seen someone link mpv player in forever
-
needmoney90
also moderation is stupid hard to script
-
needmoney90
offtopic, moving on etc
-
selsta
I guess goal would be that the script posts the log automatically to github + website, not to moderate
-
selsta
though a moderating bot would also be interesting :P
-
xmrscott[m]
Yeah, back when I worked uni IT the IRC bot had pretty basic commands
-
xmrscott[m]
Largely !next would give the time of the next meeting, !list would list the next occurance of all team meetings (*nix, windows, etc)
-
msvb-web2
needmoney90 Yes, I'm always doing it the correct way with agenda requests, but asked on IRC today as an exception (lacking ability to access GitHub.)
-
needmoney90
Got it
