I can only do it in bursts. Too draining otherwise.

Social media like alcohol. Too much of it at once is destructive.

Some people have higher and lower tolerances too.

My social media posts are basically just rants now

I have a very low social media tolerance. A few minutes worth and I feel gross. Too much noise, not enough signal.

Here's an opinion that may be unpopular, but social media let's everyone have a voice, but most people aren't worth listening to.

Bitcoin twitter keeps going down in quality. More and more narrow-minded. More and more rejection of opinions / people / companies that are not "pure" enough. Toxicity is not serving well, the only people joining the echo chamber are clueless and only financially motivated.

Thankful for it, and I've had more and more users reaching out to me via DMs for more info/questions about XMR as well

Hopefully more and more will jump in with real engagement, want to see more of us push past "Just use Monero" and give some real, nuanced answers

Twitter is a good space to be, I think, as good as social media really can be these days

a well-curated twitter feed is an amazing source of information

possibly less so once you interact so you get swamped by trolls and bots :D

Ive avoided trolls and bots so far thankfully

But have had to block a few btc maxis

and a Zcash maxi lol

I worry about the setups a lot.

I have yet to delve into it in detail. Just got reminded by Peters podcast.

But the discussions are happening...just difficult as its GDPR vs AMLD5/6 vs eIDAS

All while all the various factions of digital identity can't agree on the best way forward.

And while SERIOUS money is behind some solutions (obviously as there are other intentions)

I guess building anything on top of Monero that utilizes information in txextra comes with some potentially pretty awful privacy tradeoffs

Peter is probably "proof BTC is king" though I imagine tying identity to a transparent public chain is one of the worst things you could do (unless it's some private side chain of sorts). Even then the consortia have access to the transactions on the side chain, so yay.

It's the only reason why one would be a maxi me thinks. I'm spacing on her name, but there are people like the Zcash cryptographer we had dinner w/ at DEF CON and Justin who are part of the Zcash community, but have no issue admitting the flaws, etc
