I'm updating the FAQs on getmonero. Any suggestions about new entries? Looking mostly for questions that get asked often, no things like "what does this word mean?", which will include all common questions like "What's a node?" "What's a daemon?" etc

what about how much disk space does a node use? and you could mention pruning

although it would have to be kept up to date :/

kinghat also make sure you turn off the setting that lets people with your phone number saved in their contacts list to autoassociate it with your name

there was a thing going around that snagged telephone numbers by autoassociating them and then recording the usernames

its bs that that setting needs to be manually toggled, but it is what it is

If you can make it too traceable for criminals how can it be completely private? Matter of fact (and regarding any technology) you should want it to be robust enough for criminals, as that most likely ensures it is robust enough for you.

Just think of tor, the fact that its good enough for many criminals is also why it can be trusted to protect journalists, human rights activists etc. Criminals will always find a way to hide their identity, as they are highly motivayed to do so, the average joe that has some concern about privacy will not. And thats who making somewhat traceable can end up hurting. Just think about the E2E debate.
