or hell, any of these projects

at least bitcoin has satellites.... but i've never understood how thats decentralized. but i guess good in the way of best or whatever

that proposal needs some reworking re: concrete milestones and deliverables... but now that PoW is taken care of, I think the internet is the next piece of the puzzle that needs fixing with monero

Afaik it's not meant to provide decentralization but censorship resistance (to sync and receive live blocks), for people in regions/countries cut from the internet or under censored networks

fwiw my main concern was about the big amount of money asked for a unreasonable amount of months, i would approve a 3 months proposal at 3.5k a months (assuming clear milestones are provided). I left a comment

If I had to donate to the mesh thing, I'd like more practical specific milestones. And if we have to arbitrate the delivery of funds or not, we also need more practical specific milestones, otherwise we are not in a position to properly protect donators AND duly reward proposer.

it also seems like the people behind it are honestly interested and involved, so bringing more people in is a huge plus
