dEBRUYNE: I am interested too on btc fee increase. Paid $2.12 to send $16 the other day. 111sats/byte
-
bigslim[m]
I’m guessing the lower block reward from halving offset by higher fees
-
yanmaani
d4ndo[m]: azy linked dtmf.io and that seems legit
-
d4ndo[m]
yanmaani: Thank you. Way cheaper than buying a SIM card.
-
d4ndo[m]
It would be cool if they offered an onion site and the possibility to pay with Monero. That way you could not be traced.
-
d4ndo[m]
I guess you can use the site with tor anyway.
-

> We accept Bitcoin, Lightning, Monero and Perfect Money.
-
d4ndo[m]
Those who can read are clearly at an advantage.
-
d4ndo[m]
great.
-
d4ndo[m]
Love it.
-
moneromooo
I assume the owners of that site get unfettered access to that phone number's I/O.
-
d4ndo[m]
Thats a point.
-
moneromooo
Now we need ssh/pki for phones.
-
d4ndo[m]
Lets say i just use this phone number to register a gmail account. They could reset the password. But they don't now my e-mail address.
-
moneromooo
Let me know if, after you register it, you see a way to permanently drop a phone number in the gmail settings ^_^
-
d4ndo[m]
I dont think that is possible.
-
moneromooo
Clearly not in google's financial interest.
-
d4ndo[m]
But buying a SIM card from silk road could also have some risk.

What's the longest reorg Monero has ever had?
-
moneromooo
Mainnet only ?
-
moneromooo
Longest alt chain I see here is 10 blocks, so someone somewhere had at least that.
-
bigslim[m]
Ten very long blocks

aqua42
I wanted to install the newest version of monero for windows, compared the hashes from the repo, however
-
aqua42
C:\Program Files\Monero GUI Wallet\monero-blockchain-prune.exe
-
aqua42
C:\Program Files\Monero GUI Wallet\monero-blockchain-depth.exe
-
aqua42
C:\Program Files\Monero GUI Wallet\monero-blockchain-mark-spent-outputs.exe
-
aqua42
C:\Program Files\Monero GUI Wallet\monero-blockchain-prune-known-spent-data.exe
-
aqua42
all get flagged
-
aqua42
I assume the repo wasn't hijacked, right?
-
aqua42
and getmonero.org either
-
asymptotically
aqua42: if it's your antivirus, it's because miners contain similar code and some evil people like to run miners on computers they dont own
-
asymptotically
so antiviruses remove them
-
aqua42
yea it's windows defender lol
-
aqua42
just wanted to make sure
-
asymptotically
usually they tag with what it is, so Miner is okay, but anything like PUP.Adware or Keylogger is bad :D
-
dEBRUYNE
aqua42: Does Windows Defender merely flag the files or also remove them?
-
aqua42
blocked by default
-
aqua42
had to manually whitelist them
-
orion
Hi. Is it possible to recover a wallet if I have my password and Trezor device?
-
d4ndo[m]
Sure. Why not?
-
dEBRUYNE
-
orion
Cool. How can I enumerate all Monero accounts on my Trezor?
-
dEBRUYNE
orion: Could you elaborate?
-
dEBRUYNE
Not sure what you mean
-
orion
Well, a Trezor can host multiple bitcoin accounts. Is the same not true of Monero?
-
asymptotically
orion: you can manage subaddresses and accounts in the monero gui and cli wallets. should be just the same if you're using a trezor

<HashVault> Guys, seeing weird behaviour initially reported as a not received pool payment. I can print_tx this tx, but relay_tx is failing with Error: Unsuccessful -- transaction not found in pool: hash. And it's visible in print_pool\print_pool_sh. Push me in the correct direction please.
-
moneromooo
Are you running with e3068346eeb824d6559696117f6c25b3ee2cac4c ?
-
hv-bridge
<HashVault> I'm on v0.16.0.1-release, so I guess yes.
-
moneromooo
What does "version" output in monerod ?
-
moneromooo
(yes, I'm not trusting what you said)
-
hv-bridge
<HashVault> Monero 'Nitrogen Nebula' (v0.16.0.1-release)
-
moneromooo
Then I guess it's another bug. No idea what atm.
