CrowX-: there's only really xmrig now. it auto detects most options and it's easy to configure

xmrig, xmrig-amd, and xmrig-nvidia all merged into xmrig. xmr-stak doesn't support the latest PoW algo afaik, they just released xmr-stak-rx instead which cloned xmrig

I am hoping for something like the Ripple Insights one or say CoinDesk newsletter, where you just get the most important stories say every two weeks or so.

For people into Monero but not like full-time focused on it.
