Hello, I want to start a monero-wallet-rpc but I receive the error: Error starting server: Failed to bind IPv4 (set to required) - My Daemon works with: ./monerod --stagenet --rpc-login daemon-user:daemon-pass but the wallet-rpc dies with ./monero-wallet-rpc --stagenet --rpc-bind-port 38082 --daemon-login daemon-user:daemon-pass --wallet-dir

Kill whatever's bound on 38082. Or use another port.

By default, monerod uses this for stagenet.

Somehow after Starting wallet RPC server nothing happens, is this normal?

oh okay, I tried to do the same with moneto-wallet-cli and it worked without any problem, is there a difference ?

are you using synced files? the wallet-rpc should say it in stdout once it opens the http server, might take a while if its syncing all the blocks to the wallet

I started the cli first, and the cli synced the chain, thats why I wonder :L

I'm trying to runnig a monero node on GCP but i got this error when generate new wallet.

`Error: wallet failed to connect to daemon: localhost:18081. Daemon either is not started or wrong port was passed. Please make sure daemon is running or change the daemon address using the 'set_daemon' command.`

i generate new wallet by command `./monero-wallet-cli --generate-new-wallet w/first`

i run `monerod` by command `./monerod --testnet --detach --rpc-login testuser:testpw`

do you wish to have your monero software connected and synced with the blockchain?

so you're trying to setup a testnet node on a virtual private server

and your daemon isn't connecting and synching with the testnet blockchain

wallet-cli expects the mainnet node at port 18081 but you have a stagenet node which is at a different port i believe

manifest i run monerod by default options so do i need to specify rpc port when start?

in bisq, the highest exchange pair is btc/xmr. that's a true decentralized market with no kyc

but compare the liquidity of bisq to the likes of kraken or other kyc exchanges

the spread was bad for anything sub 2 btc

theres centralized no kyc exchanges

you should be able a generate a wallet offline. Try that first?

That made the wallet fine.

It just can't start mining, because the daemon's not synced.

It also can't connect to your local daemon until the chain is fully synced.
