so, a workgroup is asking to add their meeting logs to getmonero (1387)

This raises the question: what logs should we add on getmonero?

Personally i'm not a big fan of adding meeting logs as blog posts.

posts are very heavy and make building the wbesite much slower. Adding weekly/biweekly meeting logs is not really a good idea.

Hasn't been a problem lately because nobody wasn't posting meeting logs anymore

personally i would either change the way we upload logs (so, not as blog posts), but that would require time and effortst.

or we limit the amount and type of logs we want up.

I would suggest to add meeting logs from the Community Workgroup, Dev workgroup and MRL as it was in past, but not on a regular basis. Onluy for important meetings where it's important to show the results publicly

yeah I'd rather link to a workgroup's site and they can add logs there

there is value in dev and MRL as a substitute for "updates"

community meetings are becoming more sparse and less structured, i don't think would be a problem to not list those as well.

sorry, I didn't know it was making things clunky. I just assumed it was nice to have so that the website has regular updates and shows community activity, etc

do the text files really make a meaningful impact on the build times?

I reached out to defterade who runs monerologs.net to see if that could be a spot for the logs. I think it would be good to have these together rather than in 100 disparate places

sgp_: yeah blog posts are among the slowest pages to build, and they have to be processed for every language

would it be difficult to forward the getmonero links to another website?

I ask because if the monerologs.net person doesn't want to take this on, we can put on the MS website and you can just forward all the old links

old blog posts shouldn't be moved from where they are, but makes sense to make the workgroups host their own logs on their own resources.
