Ok. I think we should leave the discussion open for some more time, especially if somebody else from core has an opinion

at the end is a slight change, but the result is that from the moment we change it we will have two (slightly) different logos used by people.

So what is the actual size reduction between the original and the new one?

Looks like the two new versions posted were about 2 and 4 kB

I don't think the main point is a size reduction. More like a stylistic change which would also make using the logo easier

I'm no designer, but it just looks... better

I'll read through logo discussion, though I'm not really a graphics / font expert

sarang: thunderosa mentioned the bloating factor, not me 🙂. Btw my only concern is that i'm unsure if the change worth having two logos around from now on. Even if only slightly different, but might be a pointless concern
