At the moment though it is not even a question of whether we are ok with this tradeoff. Unless we are missing something big, you can't actually implement any protocol that relies on presigning which is f.e. everything Layer2 as those protocols are all collaborative and to be secure you usually sign all tx representing "backup paths" like 22:42:03 channel closure ahead of time.
