selstaBeam claims this will be ASIC resistant for a few years: docs.beam.mw/beamHash_III_spec.pdf
-
selstaCorresponding slides: docs.beam.mw/Beam_Hash_III_Slides.pdf

tevadorI don't think it's more ASIC resistant than plain Equihash 144,5
-
selstaDoes the distinction between single and multi chip ASIC resistant make sense?
-
gingeropolousu guys shoulda made better slides
-
hycI think their reference to multi-chip ASIC is mostly because the required RAM doesn't fit all on one chip
-
hycoverall I see it as non-ASIC-resistant, just like every other fixed-function PoW algorithm
