After sucessfully building monero-gui I get the error `E Error: no root objects`

which OS?

did you build it manually or using arch monero gui package?

nope, I think I resolved it. needed qt-xmlsymbols or something like that

is it missing from the readme?

There is no dependency list for that OS on the monero-gui git, unfortunately. I believe there is for monero

I just looked at the manifest for the package manager installation and tried each dependency I wasn't sure I didn't have
