perhaps we should consider the GUI to default to pruned mode. I'm sure 100 GB is kinda not sit well with some folks

the reason we didn’t add it yet is because we don’t want to prune existing blockchains

so it is a bit more tricky adding this

no

thats a fine comparitor, sure, but not everyone is playing video games

but yeah, pruning existing blockchains isn't great as it has to effectively copy the blockchain or resync

surely there's a way to have new users default to prune, but for people just updating, the gui can internally detect "hey there's alreadya full blockchain, lets not do a full prune"

although you *can* start pruning at any point

so you effectively cap the blockchain size on disk... right?
