12:41:59 current GUI currently has what I call the "button mashing" problem. Perhaps my system just isn't fast enough. but when I enter the remote node details and hit connect. Nothing happens, for like 5-7 seconds. THen I see the refresh start. 12:42:13 I was very tempted to continue clicking the connect button 12:42:32 It was like the software hadn't registered that I clicked the button 12:43:06 I dunno if this is a case where a spinny would be good or something 12:57:19 that screen hasn’t seen much improvement yet 12:57:35 agree that the current behavior isn’t good 15:31:30 gingeropolous: looking into it 15:34:22 awesome thanks. I mean, it sux that this is that behavior of "click HARDER!".. but its a thing. 19:10:18 https://www.qt.io/blog/qt-offering-changes-2020 yikes 19:12:21 not a good direction 19:23:12 i'm not clear on whether monero could continue to use the free version. if yes, GUI builds are (mostly?) static anyway (including QT?), so does that mean we're okay? 19:23:26 yes we are okay 19:23:44 but in general I don’t like the direction they are taking 19:23:58 on the other hand, Qt 6 sounded good feature wise :/ 19:24:36 KDE community was talking about it as well. i guess i missed the issue. 19:24:48 other than the normal Qt issues.
