correct, this uses std::function so you can change the IO portion

the code moo point you too is similar, but this also supports the (basic?) older method for pre ringct selection (which is rarey used anymore)

the older method is a bit more complex than that, but it wasn't duplicated in its entirety

the primary reason it was left out of monerod was privacy - the daemon definitely knows which are the "dummy" outputs
