Andres76wfaressuissia[m] thank's for your paste!

AndreiHi. I want to parse a block template paste.debian.net/1187055. I want to ask about a transaction identifier list in blocktemplate.
-
AndreiIs a transaction identifier equal to a transaction hash?
-
AndreiI can't found any transaction from this list here: xmrchain.net/search?value=004e8cae7…7a5e8c62ec914af65c6f2d0076bd2e7b09f
-
Andrei(for example, it is first non coinbase transaction from this list)
-
moneromoooYes.
-
AndreiWhy I can't found any transaction by identifier on xmrchain.net from this list? In all my attemps I got: Nothing in the blockchain has been found that matches the search term :-(
-
moneromoooMaybe you're decoding it wrong.
-
moneromoooIn fact, you are definitely decoding it wrong. I tried it with monero-utils-deserialize, it gets me a different set of txids.
-
moneromoooNote how you're missing the last two bytes. Your txids seem to be offset.
-
AndreiCould you please give me a correct first non coinbase transaction from my example?

AndreiSo, Is it documentation is outdated (github.com/cryptonote-project/crypt…-website/blob/master/cns/cns003.txt) table 4.2?
-
AndreiWhen I can get "monero-utils-deserialize" ?
-
AndreiWhere*
-
wfaressuissia[m]"github.com/monero-project/monero/bl…/debug_utilities/CMakeLists.txt#L49" requires `-DBUILD_DEBUG_UTILITIES=1` during build
-
AndreiThank you!
-
AndreiSo to get hashing_blob from blocktemplate I should get transaction identifier of coinbase transaction and got merkle tree root for coinbase id+ non coinbase transaction ids? Is it correct?

moneromoooThe cryponote technical stuff is best thought of as obsolete unless you have evidence of the contrary.
-
sech1moneromooo I suddenly realized Monero is approaching the tail emission which means more than 2^64 units (piconeros???) mined. Has it even been tested with more than 2^64 in circulation?
-
moneromoooIIRC I patched it to deal close to 2^64 in recent coinbase (when I added 128 bit amounts) but that's mostly circumstancial testing.
-
sech1it would be interesting to run a testnet with a wallet having more than 18.4 million tXMR
-
sech1I'm sure _some_ bugs will surface
-
wfaressuissia[m]"Is it difficult to write such a function on Python?" pure python or c++ bindings allowed ?
-
AndreiMy first try is to write on pure python
-
wfaressuissia[m]"paste.debian.net/hidden/f2a8a183" can be applied on of master branch, you can forward all required functions this way into python
-
wfaressuissia[m]It would be a lot of work to rewrite serialization from scratch in python unless it's your final aim
