I see "monerop.com" is now configured to not accept `self-select` anymore. We have been using the `self-select` option for testing, any idea about another Monero pool that supports `self-select` with XMRig?

opinion on moving unbound and miniupnp submodule to upstream repo?

unbound could theoretically be completely removed

we have no local patches to these?

miniupnp has install related patches but that is fixed upstream

did not check unbound yet but for depends we use our own package

huh just realized that. why aren't we using the one in our source tree for depends?

and how do we know that the depends build is actually using what it downloaded, vs what is in the tree.... have to check build log I guess

whatever we do, would be smart to update the depends version, they had an audit and fixed a lot of security related issues

btw my stagenet node is banning all nodes again (.9) and it's struggling to sync. Didn't have any false positives right after updating to .9

please run with log level 1 so that we can see why it bans peers

My connection is not the problem this time and it's unlikely that all peers are slow.

Ok. The errors mentioned the time being off. It actually was off on my VM. Fixed that and now seems to be running fine with no bans, for now. Will post the logs if that changes
