Good morning. Today I'm planning to speed up core_tests. Either by improving runtime or caching repeated calls. I have some overnight Valgrind measurements open. If there's anything I need to know, please shoot.

And if you'd like to have automated Valgrind reports with your morning coffee, I shamelessly recommend merging this:

Hi guys I would need some support from you,.. with Monero delisted from Bitrex I tried to move my monero into my ledger .. but the funds are not displayed in the Monero Gui wallet. Transaction is successful so I wonder what could be the issue.. do you have any suggestion on what I should check?

vcotroni: #monero is better for non dev discussions

I sped up core_tests by 41%. This plus the parallel execution will decrease the total test time even further. I'd be happy from initial feedback here:

The trick is the usage of a static map as a cache.

me: I think you are projecting the emotions of people around you. You know what I feel? Amusement. You know when you watch a hamster on a wheel just go and go and go? Amusement that their hate is keeping them running around in circles. Also satisfaction that I can make them go and go at my whim.

hey guys so I mentioned in the community channel that I wanna add support for multisig wallets to the GUI. Is this something of interest? I'm not very good with design so would somebody maybe help me with some like icon type images?
-
moneromooo
I'm pretty sure that if it's not supported yet, it'd be welcomed. If it were me doing it, I would not bother with icons. Someone who's good at it can add some later.

no blocklist. though i guess a 64gb system isn't that useful for this

<bevanoff> some sort of multisig is on the roadmap for feather wallet as well so you may want to communicate with those guys

wowario[m]
they are in #feather on OFTC

Is this something serious or just a random glitch?

I see that rarely, but from time to time. Not sure why, but it makes the tx invalid so no danger I think.
-
moneromooo
Now I've not seen it for quite a while. If there was a bug that creates invalid txes, I'd expect the originating daemon to not have relayed it in the first place.

So it might be another implementation trying this out. Or a bug in our code and somehow one daemon doesn't catch it. Which might be iffy.

I haven't deleted logs since January 2018

moneromooo
That's more than me :)

So it started after, hmm... RandomX fork?
-
moneromooo
Pretty sure I saw it before.
-
moneromooo
It wouldn't be related either way.
-
moneromooo
A few times I thought I'd keep invalid txes in the db for later inspection, but that might open a DoS vector.
-
sech1
you could keep them in a circular buffer of fixed size on disc
-
moneromooo
Might open a way for an attacker to remove traces after a failed attempt :)
-
moneromooo
Doesn't really seem worth the effort tbh. Maybe if I get bored.
-
sech1
if it's just a bug then there's no attacker though. You could also keep an invalid tx counter/total size counter next to that buffer

Where is a good place to get the expected hash of the docker built monero-wallet-gui on linux? I just built 0.17.1.9 Oxygen Orion and sha256 is 21342c28e6725f3f0e7e1044f1219382c889cc7e121d5bb5bd3c9fcc1f427612
