so i figured out that i can fix the bad amounts in my view only wallet by recscanning the blockchain and importing keyimages after, if there would be a way to do that whithout throwing away destination data in the tx i would be very happy

You're saying rescan_spent does this ? If so, post a bug on github with exact repro steps.

no rescan_spent has no effect, despite all outputs showing up in the logs for the txid's with wrong amounts / based on the data in the logs the amounts are correct, but they don't update in the txs only if i run rescan_bc and reimport all key_images after that

i mean if i run rescan_spent i can see all the amounts spent for the tx and they add up the correct amounts, but if i call get_transfer_by_id after it still has the old bad amount

so seems rescan_spent won't update the transfers

nevertheless rescan_bc does
