so it seems theres a motion to have a release in march without a consensus version change. I've always been under the impression that the rolling hardforks serve multiple purposes. One being to upgrade the protocol, obviously. The second being to ensure that all network participants are using up to date software - i.e., if there's a bug, then everyone has the same bug. Third, which is kinda part of the first two, is to maintain the behav

It's effectivity increases with the number of nodes running the version with dandelion++ included though
