Yeah, I got that much. However, there does seem to be genuine criticisms. For arguments sake adding meta data (especially related to a timestamp) to the seed to account for a shortfall in bit length/space doesn't seem a way to increase/maintain security, does it? I can't verify the efficacy of removing Argan for PBKDF2, but it seems a rational criticism also.
