i mean, if someone spiked multiple different subaddresses with monero, and thne you go and sweep them all, that could infer that you control those different subaddresses

yeah. say you have multiple subaddresses. and you have 2 online identities. i suspect those 2 identities are you, so i send monero to those 2 subaddresses

and then monitor the chain to see if those 2 are ever grouped together as inputs to a transaction

back in my day, you had to create 2 wallets if you wanted multiple monero accounts

and your blockchain was in ram. and you had synchronize uphill both ways!
