01:25:59 ErCiccione: check out Hugo's multilingual stuff 01:25:59 https://gohugo.io/content-management/multilingual/ 01:26:07 it's...quite good and thorough and works out of the box 01:27:36 and because it's part of the software proper, it will probably not fall away to be unmaintained :D 01:30:58 most of the other static site generators are javascript based 01:31:41 though maybe getting a javascript one would be easier, as finding javascript devs to make custom stuff for us (like Moneropedia custom ruby thing) would be easier than getting a ruby one 01:31:43 hugo is in go 01:33:15 also Huge is blazing fast in terms of build time. Jekyll takes for........................ever. 06:32:14 Rehrar will check it out, but i'm still very sceptic about moving the entire website to a new generator 07:31:18 I've been looking at Hugo for another project I'm involved in, and I only have good things to say about it 16:30:45 +1 to Hugo, especially with Gitlab Pages 17:29:30 Hugo can be the coolest generator ever, but IMO the huge amount of work needed for the transfer doesn't really make it a viable option right now. Without considering the amount of changes we should make since now we have custom plugins integrated. The Moneropedia should be completely restructured, the translations should be all checked and transferred, Hugo should be tested with Weblate and things will definitely 17:29:30 need to be tweaked to work. netlify will need to be reconfigured to work with hugo. 17:30:58 So yeah, i would exclude a migration of the website from jekyll to hugo at the moment 17:56:05 hugo also doesn't have the stability of jekyll. it is only 0.x software and they often make breaking changes
