13:22:55 Hey everyone. Monero Outreach is working on an article to publish next week to leverage the historical and ongoing societal frustration and unrest and make the case for Monero as a potential tool to help people regain liberty. We hope you’ll keep an eye out and help us share it widely across social media! 13:25:18 We are doing our best to make it as inclusive and respectful as possible. It doesn’t have a disingenuous “Monero solves the problem for #BlackLivesMatter” angle. Much broader context than that. 14:51:45 I'd also love to see the logs from the last meeting if anyone has them or could update the site 14:51:52 Sadly had to miss the meeting 🙁 14:52:51 I can put them on pastebin if there is desire 14:57:31 fort3hlulz: https://monerologs.net/monero-community/20200606#c79530 15:04:24 Thanks 🙂 15:04:44 Had no idea that site existed! 15:26:02 the community workgroup website links to getmonero for logs and the newest logs there are from Oct last year 15:33:07 There was a certain user PRing the logs to the website, I guess they stopped 17:04:56 yeah el00ruobuob used to upload the logs, but they haven't been active since some time. If somebody else could post the logs would be great 17:26:34 hm. Monero could use a small payment manager for scheduling repeatable payments and stuff 17:27:04 e.g. subscriptions but where you decide to pay every month instead of some third party putting their greasy hand into your bank account 17:31:58 ErCiccione[m]: i can do the ones that are currently missing 17:32:39 that would be great asymptotically :) 17:37:01 I think one of the Zcash wallets recently added recurring payment functionality with a nice interface 17:37:08 but I'm blanking on which it is 17:37:23 i don't have logs for the ones before 23rd of November 2019 :/, can do all after that though 17:37:50 There were some design decisions around handling gaps when the wallet wasn't running 17:38:26 asymptotically: That's still good, maybe somebody else can provide the missing ones. 17:52:28 sarang: My initial thought was an app runnign in the background on pc/mac/linux and that had access to a wallet spend key. It could email/notify you when it sees you need to top up that wallet. And a standardized way to create a "recurring payment QR code" or something to easily add/update payment schedules 18:58:40 oh we're talking about subscriptions! 18:59:04 yeah the app'd have to be a daemon and there are allll sorts of complexities 18:59:15 what if you have two daemons running for the same sec spend key on two different machines - how does one know not to spend? 18:59:31 solvable for sure, but needs to be anticipated 18:59:52 it's subject to many of the issues seen in typical distributed systems 19:00:00 as you can imagine i have been thinking about it for a bit :) 20:20:13 It is something that should be useful already (e.g. "Patreon" like regular donations for instance) - and in the future will be even more useful.
