legit thought, what do people think about holding some sort of digital conference?

I've discussed this with a couple of you already, but I think we'd be able to make a very cool conference with tons of content for very cheap. No travel costs, and logistics mean we can get more speakers because we're not paying as much, and because speakers might be more willing to attend and speak without all of this travel nonsense.

Attendance has great potential since it's not geographically isolated, and those without the means to attend (financially or time) can still attend.

If the argument is that some of the conversations you can have are the most valuable part of a conference, than I (dead seriously, unironically) recommend looking into something like VRChat, a "game" where you go in and walk around and talk to people. While VR is in the name, and supported, it is not required.

This allows people to meet in a virtual space, talk, discuss, and if they want other conversations besides presentations, they can physically move to another virtual space to not be disruptive.
