UkoeHB_Monero: toward a fungible future!
-
Inge-asymptotically: I'll move it here. But that means that currently, just having surveillance of your ISP will pretty much give away your transactions. Coupled with full access to an exchange you send funds to, the surveiller will easily correlate a deposit to that exchange to your IP address.
-
asymptoticallyInge-: dandelion (coming soonTM) should solve that
-
asymptoticallyit's not ideal but i still don't think that it's the end of the world. you still probably don't know where the tx is going, or what the value is
-
asymptoticallyalso i think you need to be well connected to see who broadcast a tx first
-
Inge-in my scenario, someone has a tap on your ISP connection
-
Inge-in that case, I doubt dandelion helps too much
-
UkoeHB_Isn't the hope of i2p integration dealing with that problem?
-
dEBRUYNEi2p is already kind of integrated
-
sarangDandelion++ isn't intended for the case of something like direct ISP targeting
-
Inge-nation-state threat modelling is a pretty tough cookie
